Moulding Operative

The Company:

Job Summary:

\\n

The successful individual will work as part of a team and will operate the moulding plant machinery to produce our products to the standards required.

\\n

Responsibilities:

\\n

    \\n
  • Operating the pre-expander to fill the EPS silo capacity to maintain material supply
  • \\n

  • Operating the moulding machinery to meet customer demand and maintain Kanban levels
  • \\n

  • Calibration checks on the products, recording output and quality data
  • \\n

  • Carrying out mandatory safety checks on the machine including daily maintenance and housekeeping duties to 5S standards
  • \\n

  • Monitoring the safe operation of the steam plant and its boiler safety systems
  • \\n

  • Safely managing the water treatment and chemical testing, awareness of the plant room operation, boiler operation and start up and shutdown procedures
  • \\n

  • Working to Lean Manufacturing Standards and process controls
  • \\n

  • You would also be responsible for all safety systems, reactive maintenance, breakdowns and risk management and have a high level of EPS processing knowledge
  • \\n

Qualifications and experience:

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations would be beneficial
  • \\n

  • Forklift licence would be beneficial although full training will be provided
  • \\n

  • Full UK Driving licence

Vacancy: Moulding Operative
Salary: Β£13.25 per hour, plus 20% uplift when working a standard rotating shift and 40% when working a 24-hour rotating shift.
Hours: Monday to Friday, on a rotating shift, 6.00am – 2:30pm and 2:00pm to 10:30pm on alternate weeks, with occasional 12-hour night shifts during peak demand. In exceptional circumstances we may work on a weekend.
