We’re seeking an experienced Settlements Lead to lead and support a high-performing settlements team within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role is responsible for overseeing daily settlements operations, ensuring service level commitments are met, and driving continuous improvement across people, process and performance.

You’ll be a hands-on leader who enjoys coaching others, resolving complex matters, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate settlement outcomes.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Settlements Officers to achieve operational and service excellence
  • Oversee end-to-end settlement processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance
  • Manage workflow allocation, capacity planning and priority management
  • Act as an escalation point for complex or high-risk settlement matters
  • Monitor performance against SLAs, KPIs and quality measures
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support change initiatives
  • Ensure policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are consistently met
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and improve outcomes
  • Prepare reports and provide insights on team performance and trends

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a strong blend of operational expertise and people leadership capability. You will likely have:

  • Proven experience in settlements, lending operations or a similar financial services environment
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a team
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end settlement processes
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confidence handling escalations and complex matters
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to drive change
