We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join our People & Culture Shared Services team on a part time basis 4 days per week. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this role is responsible for the accurate, compliant and timely processing of payroll and maintaining payroll and HRIS data integrity across the full employee lifecycle.
Key responsibilities:- End to end processing of fortnightly and monthly payrolls
- Complex payroll data maintenance, validations and reconciliations
- Interpretation of Awards, EBAs and Australian employment legislation
- Post pay reporting and month end reconciliations
- Employee lifecycle administration (onboarding, changes, offboarding)
- Responding to payroll queries with a strong customer service focus
- Supporting payroll system improvements and change initiatives
- Extensive payroll experience in complex Australian payroll environments
- Strong data validation and reconciliation skills
- Experience working on or supporting a payroll change or implementation project
- Deep knowledge of Fair Work, PAYG, superannuation, STP Phase 2 and terminations
- High attention to detail and strong systems capability (SuccessFactors desirable)
- Confident working autonomously and meeting payroll deadlines
- You bring a genuine curiosity about AI and digital innovation, with an openness to learning how these tools can enhance your role and the way we work.
