What The Role Requires
The Kitchen Logistics and BOH Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all back‑of‑house operations, including opening the building, completing necessary checks, taking ownership of incoming deliveries, and managing the Kitchen BOH team. The ideal candidate is a highly organised, proactive, and hands‑on operations professional with experience in fast‑paced event or hospitality environments. They will demonstrate strong leadership skills, capable of managing and motivating a team while overseeing kitchen and warehouse operations. Attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and a practical understanding of stock, equipment, and resource management are essential. They will be flexible, reliable, with a solutions‑focused approach, combined with a commitment to maintaining high standards, ensuring they consistently drive the efficiency, effectiveness, and success of the company’s operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage deliveries, ensuring quality, quantity, and correct event labelling
- Oversee stock management across all stores (including chemicals, disposables, and dry goods)
- Pack and prepare equipment efficiently for each event
- Supervise kitchen porters, including rota planning and holiday management
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and compliance across all BOH areas
- Implement and monitor waste management and recycling processes
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checks and associated documentation
- Process invoices, submit to accounts, and follow up on any discrepancies
- Place top‑up food and supply orders as required
- Monitor and maintain equipment, including calibration and PAT testing support
- Lead team briefings and ensure clear communication across the BOH team
- Work closely with senior management to ensure policies and procedures are followed
