The Innovation Executive will be an important member of our AI Enablement & Innovation Team, reporting to the Innovation Manager. This is a hands-on, early-career role for someone with around 1-3 years of professional experience who is excited by technology, AI and finding better ways of working. The role offers the opportunity to support the development and adoption of internal tools, coordinate innovation projects and work with teams across the business to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and impact.

This is a builder role – responsibilities lie across a range of areas, including AI adoption, stakeholder management, solution development and product management. Innovation is a compact team focused on driving positive change through technology and creativity. AI gives us the opportunity to do things better, faster and more efficiently. By testing new ideas, building useful tools and helping colleagues adopt them in their day-to-day work, the team can make a significant impact across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tool Development & Delivery: Support the ongoing development, testing and improvement of internal tools. Work closely with developers and internal users to document requirements, coordinate testing, identify issues and help ensure successful tool launches.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Adoption: Build relationships with internal teams, gather feedback and help colleagues understand how Innovation can support their work. Act as a day-to-day point of contact between the Innovation Team and other departments, escalating decisions or blockers where appropriate. Create clear updates, guidance and demonstrations to promote Innovation work and encourage adoption.
  • Technology Exploration & Innovation: Keep up to date with emerging technologies, particularly AI tools, and help assess where they could create practical value for the business. Contribute to ideation, research and small-scale experiments, using AI-assisted development tools and developing an understanding of technologies such as Python.
  • Efficiency & Process Improvement: Work with teams to understand existing processes and identify opportunities to reduce manual work, improve quality or make delivery more consistent. Suggest practical improvements and help turn promising ideas into clearly defined projects or experiments.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate multiple projects and workstreams, maintaining plans, actions, timelines and regular updates to support successful delivery. Help the Director of Innovation and development team prioritise work by keeping project information organised, highlighting dependencies and following up on agreed actions.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Around 1-3 years of professional experience in project coordination, product operations, digital delivery, consulting, technology, marketing operations or a related role.
  • A strong interest in AI and emerging technologies, with curiosity about how they can solve real business problems.
  • A creative and practical mindset, with the ability to understand a problem, ask good questions and suggest workable solutions.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working with colleagues across different teams and levels of seniority.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage several tasks and follow work through to completion.
  • Comfort using digital tools and learning new systems; direct coding experience is helpful but not required.
  • Some experience supporting projects, gathering requirements, analysing information or improving processes would be beneficial.

Team Culture & Development Opportunities:

Be part of a supportive team that values eagerness, kindness, diligence, curiosity and a strong work ethic. Gain hands-on exposure to AI, product development, project delivery and stakeholder engagement, with opportunities to take on greater ownership as your skills and experience grow.

Metrics of Success:

  • Positive adoption and measurable impact of the tools and initiatives you support.
  • Reliable coordination and timely delivery of assigned projects and actions.
  • High-quality stakeholder communication, useful feedback loops and growing confidence in independently managing areas of work.
