Smart Environmental Support Solutions are seeking an Onsite Recruiter/Account Manager to join our Environmental Support Services Division. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment and management of a flexible workforce across client sites located in and around the Livingston area.
We are a recruitment partner to the waste and recycling industry, thriving on the introduction of talented, skilled, and dedicated people to an industry that is growing year on year. The Role:
- Client Management: Overseeing the initial implementation of any new contracts. Ensure a complete understanding of the client specifics.
- Resourcing: Actively recruit for candidates for specified sites. Ensuring KPI compliance and providing feedback as necessary. Ensuring adherence to set policies and procedures. Review all reports, client satisfaction surveys and present internally and to the client.
- Liaison with Smart Service Centres and regional Business Area Managers to maintain support structures. Ensuring all records are kept in line with legislative requirements. Conduct and report periodic review meetings. Update the client on legislative updates, and conduct relevant changes if necessary.
- Qualify and quantify any job details and specific requirements. Network internally and externally with clients. Set benchmarks for clients – salary, availability, candidate pool, industry activity. Conduct daily/weekly and monthly review meetings.
Recruitment:
- Candidate attraction, engagement and retention.
- Candidate registration and interview testing and selection of varied workforce to desired service standards.
- Providing induction prior to work placement. Carry out work instructions in line with service standards.
- Recruitment personnel control – reviewing progress and performance. Providing and controlling all performance management activities.
- Reviewing and setting service centre activity. Ensuring suitable staff availability to cover various positions. Control, coverage and management of all sickness and holiday requirements.

Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a recruitment background is essential.
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety at work.
- Understanding of waste and recycling collection operations is an advantage.
- Must be able to demonstrate problem-solving skills.
- Excellent level of English, both spoken and written is essential.
- Very good level of numeracy.
- Ability to multitask while under pressure.
