However, we often support learners that are not suited to a mainstream school or learning. We are looking for experienced teachers or education professionals that are looking to support learners from home. This is very suited to those that have retired or stepped away from teaching but miss it and want to feel the value of one-to-one teaching with a learner that will truly value it! We are trying to make a difference to thousands of young learners that need this support in order to give them the best chance in life as an adult. Responsibilities:
- Work in a home setting, either family home or residential setting for LAC.
- Deliver 1:1 tuition to students aged Key Stage 1 to Further Education, supporting a diverse range of backgrounds and differentiating needs.
- Develop personalized learning strategies for students who are out of mainstream education.
- Support a young person's re-engagement in education.
- Use a creative and versatile teaching style, applying Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS / PGCE), Subject Specialism or extensive tuition experience supporting English, Maths and/or Science.
Qualifications:
- Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS / PGCE), or Subject Specialism or extensive tuition experience supporting with English, Maths and/or Science.
- Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH).
- Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of working with disengaged young people or looked after children.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to acquire one.
