Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm
Smart Education are seeking a qualified and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive Catholic Primary School in Oldbury. This is a full time, term-time only position that is due to start ASAP. For this role you will be required to work across KS1 meaning you may not be in one specific year group. The school we are working with achieved an Ofsted rating ‘Good’ during its last inspection. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to work alongside the class teacher, supporting with any tasks they require you to do. On occasions, you will take responsibility as a teaching assistant to take a small group of pupils and deliver a session to them.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or a relevant subject)
- Valid Childs Enhanced DBS certificate
- Minimum 1 years’ experience working within a school setting
- Lead small sessions and interventions independently
- Clear understanding of Safeguarding surrounding children
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Be able to provide targeted support to pupils across a range of abilities
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
