Smart Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants to support pupils in both mainstream and specialist SEND schools in Melton Mowbray. The role focuses on assisting learners with a variety of needs, from typical primary pupils to those with SEN and complex learning requirements, in a structured, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Job Requirements
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred)
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN or complex needs in schools (essential)
- Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Child or Child/Adult DBS (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid passport
- Ability to provide 24 months of employer or academic references
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1, small group, or whole-class support for pupils with SEN
- Assist with learning activities, behaviour strategies, and individual plans
- Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement
- Support social, emotional, and academic development
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external specialists
