The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.

Mainstream & SEN Pay Rate: £96.31 - £104.14 per day (dependent on experience)

Location: Derby & surrounding areas

Hours: Full-time & Part-time Term-Time Only. Flexible supply, long-term and temp-to-perm opportunities available.

Are you an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in Derby? Smart Education is partnering with a variety of primary and specialist SEN schools across Derby who are seeking dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistants to support their pupils. We have opportunities in both mainstream and specialist provisions, supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and moderate to complex learning difficulties.

The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you may:

  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
  • Deliver targeted interventions to small groups
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
  • Encourage independence, confidence and engagement

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Caring, patient and resilient
  • Confident supporting behaviour and engagement
  • Experienced working with children or young people (school or SEN experience preferred)
  • Passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential
