Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm

Smart Education is currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant in the Chard area for an immediate start.

This is a welcoming, inclusive specialist school that supports children and young people with a wide range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, PDA, and communication or learning difficulties. Job Requirements:
• Previous experience supporting children with SEND
• Adaptability to work in different classroom settings and outdoors
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential due to location)
• Enhanced DBS on the update service

Role Responsibilities:
• Support pupils with complex needs to access learning
• Prepare materials and assist with classroom activities
• Promote emotional and physical wellbeing of pupils
• Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team
• Encourage pupils to develop independence and confidence
