Job Requirements of a SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Minimum 6 months UK experience in a Primary school
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Confident and supporting with learning and behaviour
  • Enhanced Child or Child and Adult DBS on the Update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • SEN Experience desirable

Role responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Maintain a safe, positive and productive classroom
  • Work collaboratively with Teachers, support staff and SEN teams
  • Follow school policies and expectations
  • Working with pupils in class, small groups and 1:1
  • Working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
