Smart Education is recruiting a Science Technician to join a large, ambitious, and inclusive 11–16 community school and specialist sports college. The school boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including a refurbished main building, a dedicated Year 7 centre, and extensive sports facilities shared with the local community.
You will join an innovative and supportive Science Department with:
- 14 fully equipped laboratories
- Multiple prep rooms
- A staff workroom
- Four brand-new, purpose-built labs designed with direct input from the Science team
Responsibilities:
- Support the Science Department with preparation of materials, equipment and resources
- Maintain lab equipment and ensure safe working environments
- Assist teachers during practical sessions
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and best practices
Requirements:
- Experience working in a laboratory or school science prep room
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety in labs/classrooms
- Positive, proactive and flexible attitude
- Enthusiasm for science and supporting practical learning
