Smart Education is recruiting a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support primary‑aged pupils with moderate and complex learning needs, including speech, language and communication difficulties. The school is a caring and inclusive community where pupils bring a wonderful diversity of abilities, interests, and personalities creating a vibrant and unique learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support
- Assist pupils with communication, social, and learning needs
- Support teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery
- Promote independence, positive behaviour, and engagement
- Help create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN (MLD, communication needs, or similar)
- Level 2 TA qualification (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Ability to work well as part of a supportive team
- Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
