Smart Education is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join a supportive alternative provision in the Middlesbrough area. This role offers the opportunity to teach students aged 11–16 who face a range of challenges, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD).

Key Responsibilities:

What We’re Looking For:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or general)
  • Experience working with additional needs, preferably in SEN, PRU, or alternative settings
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A patient, adaptable, and positive teaching approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • A passion for making science accessible and inspiring
