Smart Education is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join a supportive alternative provision in the Middlesbrough area. This role offers the opportunity to teach students aged 11–16 who face a range of challenges, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD).

Key Responsibilities:- Deliver engaging and practical Science lessons tailored to varied learning needs
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Differentiating content for students with a range of learning profiles
- Collaborate with SENCOs, support staff, and pastoral teams
- Encourage emotional regulation and positive behaviour in the classroom
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or general)
- Experience working with additional needs, preferably in SEN, PRU, or alternative settings
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- A patient, adaptable, and positive teaching approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- A passion for making science accessible and inspiring
- Competitive daily pay: £190–£230
