Job Title: SEN HLTA / Functional Skills
Pay Rate: £110 – £120 per day
Location: Cannock
Hours: Full-time, long-term
Smart Education is currently recruiting for an SEN HLTA / Functional Skills in the Cannock area.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Functional Skills sessions tailored to individual learner needs
- Support teachers in planning and adapting classroom activities
- Work closely with the SENCO and wider team to deliver targeted interventions
- Encourage independence, confidence, and progress in every learner
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reviews
Requirements
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience delivering or supporting Functional Skills in English and Maths
- Strong understanding of SEN, including SEMH, ASD, and MLD needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- DBS registered on the Update Service
- Able to provide references promptly
- Must be able to complete compliance within a few days
