Smart Education is recruiting a Maths Teacher to join a secondary SEMH school in Bilston on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a rewarding opportunity for a Maths Teacher who is passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and helping them succeed both academically and personally.

About the Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs, helping to build confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning. The successful Teacher will work closely with support staff and pastoral teams to create a structured and nurturing classroom environment where students feel supported and motivated to succeed.

Job Responsibilities of a Maths Teacher

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour

Requirements for a Maths Teacher

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour desirable
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
