We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Tutor to join our team. If you have a passion for helping students excel in their studies, this flexible role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on their academic success.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional one-on-one tutoring sessions, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the subject matter.
- Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEND), including those with PMLD or behavioural challenges.
- Develop customised lesson plans and teaching materials that align with the national curriculum and cater to the unique learning needs of each student.
- Assess and regularly monitor the progress of your students, adjusting your teaching methods to maximise their learning outcomes.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment that motivates students to excel.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians to provide feedback on student progress and address any concerns.
- Keep accurate records of tutoring sessions and student performance.
- Qualified Teachers with either QTS/QTLS/PGCE (Primary, Functional Skills, EYFS, PMLD, or equivalent), Subject Specialism or extensive tuition experience supporting with English, Maths and/or Science.
- Experienced Tutors in any subject area.
- Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH).
- A desire to make a difference by delivering tailored, personalised tuition in students' homes.
- Experience working with the National Curriculum.
- Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual learning needs of each student.
- Tutoring involves yourself working in a home setting; this may be the family home or a residential setting for LAC. You will be working 1:1 with students from various backgrounds and differentiating needs; students ages can range from key stage 1 to further education.
