Job Requirements of a Tutor
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to acquire one
- Have a (QTS / QTLS / PGCE), Subject Specialism or tuition experience supporting with English, Maths and/or Science
- A minimum of 1 years teaching or tutoring UK experience
- Experience, Knowledge and Understanding of working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH)
Role Responsibilities of a Tutor
- Being a tutor involves yourself working in a home setting; this may be the family home or a residential setting for LAC. You will be working 1:1 with students from various backgrounds and differentiating needs; students ages can range from key stage 1 to further education depending on where your experience is best suited
- Developing personalised learning strategies for students who are out of mainstream education
- Supporting a young person's re-engagement in education
