Smart Education is recruiting Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistants to support pupils within a primary educational setting in Tamworth. Job Requirements

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
  • Experience supporting children in a school environment, ideally with additional needs
  • Confidence in supporting behaviour and engagement
  • Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced Child DBS (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid passport
  • Ability to provide 24 months of employer or academic references

Role Responsibilities

  • Support pupils in class, small groups, and 1:1 where needed
  • Aid access to learning through positive behaviour and engagement strategies
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and social skills
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

All successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check. It is an offence to apply if barred from engaging in regulated activity with children or vulnerable adults.
