Smart Education is currently recruiting for a Care Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive specialist SEN school in Stratford-upon-Avon. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people aged 3–19 with a range of complex and additional needs.
This role is ideal for someone with a caring, nurturing approach who enjoys making a genuine difference every day. You will work closely with teachers, Teaching Assistants and therapy staff to support pupils with their care needs, wellbeing and daily routines throughout the school day. No two days are the same in this role, making it perfect for someone who is hands-on, adaptable and passionate about supporting children and young people to feel safe, comfortable and confident within school.

Job requirements:
- Health & Social Care qualification (Level 2 or above preferred)
- Experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker or within SEN support
- Comfortable supporting personal care, toileting and hygiene needs
- Experience or willingness to use hoists and support manual handling
- Caring, patient and compassionate nature
- Ability to work as part of a team in a busy school environment
- Enhanced Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Role responsibilities:
- Support pupils with personal care and daily routines
- Assist with lifting, positioning and mobility using appropriate equipment
- Work closely with teachers and Teaching Assistants across classrooms
- Support pupils during lessons, activities and transitions throughout the day
- Promote independence, dignity and emotional wellbeing
- Help create a safe, positive and supportive learning environment
- Follow safeguarding, manual handling and health & safety procedures at all times
