Overview
Smart Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants to support pupils in a specialist SEND setting in Derbyshire that expertly combines therapeutic care with tailored education for pupils with autism and associated complex needs. You will work with small classes and be part of a team that helps pupils feel safe, happy, and able to achieve their full potential.

Job Requirements
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN and complex needs in a school setting
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Confidence in supporting behaviour, communication and engagement
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced Child & Adult Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid passport
- Ability to provide 24 months of employer or academic references
Role Responsibilities
- Provide in-class, small group and 1:1 support for pupils with complex needs
- Assist with delivering personalised learning and behaviour support strategies
- Encourage independence, confidence and emotional regulation
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Help maintain a structured, inclusive, and safe learning environment
