Responsibilities

  • The Head of Digital is responsible for trading the core business in the UK and is a key hire for the Group.
  • The scope of the role covers commercial trading and digital marketing – it’s highly visible, highly accountable and highly influential.
  • Responsibilities include:
    • Definition and execution of the trading strategy
    • Development of trading initiatives
    • Driving digital sales by converting site traffic
    • Setting pricing across the UK trade companies
    • Developing and managing the promotional strategy
    • Monitoring key trading performance indicators to meet KPIs
    • Working closely with the category management, analytics and technology teams to improve the customer experience/sales journey
    • Managing and motivating a team of 5 plus agencies

Required Competences

  • Solid experience of designing, launching and operating an IT and Digital platform
  • Exceptional understanding of the IT and Digital platform components and commercials acquired as CTO in a telecom or energy organisation
  • 3rd party supplier negotiations
  • Commercially astute
  • Tenacity and ability to deliver in an environment of rapid change
  • Gravitas to influence at the most senior level
  • Determined, resilient and controlled under pressure
