The Role:
As a Dental Receptionist / Treatment Coordinator, you will play a central role in the patient journey from welcoming patients at reception to supporting them through consultations and treatment planning. This position is particularly well-suited to:
- An experienced Dental Receptionist
- A Dental Nurse seeking a more administrative and patient coordination role
- A GDC-registered Dental Nurse looking for career development
Working Pattern:
Full-time position, working hours between 8:00am-7:00pm, final rota agreed at interview.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reception Duties: Welcoming patients and managing front-of-house operations, booking and coordinating appointments efficiently, managing phone and email enquiries, maintaining accurate patient records.
- Treatment Coordination: Supporting patients during consultations, explaining treatment options and associated costs clearly, assisting with finance options and payment plans, following up on outstanding treatment plans.
- Administration & Practice Support: Ensuring smooth day-to-day practice operations, handling deposits and private treatment payments, supporting marketing initiatives and practice events, working closely with clinicians and the wider team.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: Previous dental experience essential, a GDC-registered Dental Nurse is highly desirable, strong customer-facing healthcare experience considered.
- Communication: Professional, approachable and confident, comfortable discussing treatment options and costs.
- Organisation: Able to manage a busy reception environment, strong administrative and multitasking skills.
- Technical Skills: Experience with dental/medical software, competent with Microsoft Office.
- Personal Qualities: Reliable and proactive, positive team player committed to delivering excellent patient care.
