Al-Fa Perio Dental Clinic is seeking an experienced Endodontist to join our growing specialist team on a visiting basis for one day per month. As a specialist-led practice with a strong focus on advanced periodontal, restorative and multidisciplinary care, we are looking to expand our referral services by welcoming a clinician with a passion for endodontics and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

This opportunity would suit a GDC Specialist Endodontist or an experienced dentist with advanced postgraduate training and a proven track record in complex endodontic treatment.

About the Role

You will be responsible for assessing and treating referred endodontic cases, working closely with our clinicians to provide patients with the highest standard of care and tooth-preserving treatment. The successful candidate will be confident managing routine and complex root canal treatments, retreatment cases and difficult diagnostic challenges. You will be expected to provide clear treatment recommendations and detailed reports to referring dentists. As part of our multidisciplinary approach, you will work collaboratively with our Periodontist and other visiting specialists to deliver comprehensive treatment planning and long-term patient care.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Primary root canal treatment
  • Complex molar endodontics
  • Endodontic retreatment cases
  • Diagnosis and management of endodontic pathology
  • Management of traumatised teeth
  • Internal and external resorption cases
  • Assessment and treatment planning of referred cases
  • Use of magnification and advanced imaging techniques
  • Provision of treatment reports and communication with referring dentists
  • Participation in multidisciplinary treatment planning where appropriate

Skills and Experience Required

  • Current GDC Registration
  • Specialist Registration in Endodontics or advanced postgraduate training in Endodontics
  • Proven experience managing complex endodontic cases
  • Excellent diagnostic and treatment planning skills
  • Experience working with operating microscopes
  • Experience using CBCT imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Excellent communication and patient management skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based dentistry and clinical excellence
  • Professional indemnity insurance

Desirable Qualifications

  • MSc, MClinDent or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Endodontics
  • Membership or Fellowship qualifications relevant to Endodontics
  • Experience working within a specialist referral practice
  • Existing referral network
