As a Supplier Business Manager (Account Manager) at DCC, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing the dynamic relationship between DCC’s internal business needs and its supplier landscape. You’ll be responsible for ensuring continuity of front-line services by proactively managing supplier performance, risk, and issue resolution. This role is central to shaping future procurement strategy and ensuring our supply chain is fit for the evolving needs of our customers.
What will you be doing?
- Manage suppliers throughout their lifecycle: onboarding, operational management, and offboarding.
- Ensure monthly supplier review (MSR) content accurately reflects performance.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure demand forecasts are understood and aligned.
- Validate supplier performance against invoicing data as part of the goods receipting process.
- Support timely payment of supplier invoices in line with contractual terms.
- Lead in-life budget forecasting and variation mitigation planning.
- Implement and manage supplier contract/performance governance frameworks.
- Track and report supplier performance against contractual, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the first point of contact and escalation for supplier queries and issues.
- Drive performance improvement plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in audit and assurance activities to ensure compliance.
- Gather market and customer insights to inform procurement and business decisions.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in service-based contract environments (Telco/Energy internships or entry-level roles desirable).
- Familiarity with supplier management practices, including performance and issue resolution.
- Experience managing supplier budgets and understanding financial principles.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proven negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to simplify complex topics for senior audiences.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and organised.
