Smart DCC is at the heart of the UK’s energy infrastructure, delivering secure, nationwide connectivity for smart metering and beyond. As we continue to evolve, we’re looking for a Senior Service Lifecycle Owner to take a lead role in shaping and managing a portfolio of services that touch millions of homes and devices. In this critical leadership position, you’ll own a Service (Product) Family end-to-end—defining vision, strategy, and roadmaps aligned with Smart DCC’s business and development plans. You’ll work cross-functionally with technical, commercial, regulatory, and operational teams to deliver scalable, high-impact services. We are looking for a confident and strategic leader with deep expertise in lifecycle management and service ownership, ideally within Tier 1 telecommunications or a highly regulated, technically complex environment. You thrive in fast-paced, change-driven organisations and are passionate about delivering services that make a real-world impact.
What will you be doing?
- Lead the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of our Lifecycle Management (LCM) processes and frameworks.
- Define and deliver product/service strategies, long-term roadmaps, and performance goals.
- Act as the senior owner and advocate for your assigned service/product family within DCC.
- Align technical development with the Technology team and support long-term commercial strategy with the Commercial function.
- Define in-life service models and performance metrics in collaboration with Operations.
- Engage with regulatory and customer teams to incorporate external stakeholder requirements.
- Own service budgets, financial risk management, and drive benefit realisation across a multi-hundred-million-pound portfolio.
- Represent Lifecycle Management at key governance forums and serve as a senior escalation point.
- Continuously evolve LCM best practices and drive a culture of product excellence across the organisation.
