The Operational Change Manager is responsible for overseeing and governing all change activity across the DCC’s production systems. The role ensures that all Requests for Change are properly assessed, risk-evaluated, communicated and delivered in line with DCC’s operational change processes. Working across multiple internal teams and external service providers, the Operational Change Manager chairs Change Advisory Boards (CAB/ECAB), drives strong governance, mitigates risk, and maintains service stability in a complex, highly technical environment. The role also monitors performance metrics, identifies trends, leads continuous improvement, and ensures changes are delivered with minimal disruption while meeting regulatory obligations.
How you will contribute to transforming energy and shaping the future:
- Receive, process and validate all Requests for Change (RFCs), ensuring the correct categorisation and adherence to DCC Operational Change processes.
- Chair CAB and ECAB meetings, assessing risks and impacts, facilitating discussions and making recommendations for approvals or rejections.
- Collaborate across DCC business units and with Service Providers to ensure robust change governance, minimise disruption and maintain service stability.
- Monitor and report on KPIs related to change success rates, policy adherence and post-implementation reviews, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement by leading root cause analysis, recommending corrective actions and improving operational efficiency.

- Proven experience in Change Management within a complex, technical or supplier-driven environment.
- Strong analytical skills, able to interpret, analyse and communicate performance data effectively.
- Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills, capable of presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Experience using service management tools and working within structured change and release governance frameworks.
