Join Smart DCC at a pivotal time of transformation, where you’ll play a key role in shaping financial planning, reporting, and governance as we transition to new regulatory and budgeting frameworks. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced FP&A professional to make immediate impact in a fast-paced, high-change environment, working closely with senior stakeholders and supporting Board-level outputs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead FP&A transformation activity, driving improvements to planning, forecasting and reporting processes aligned to new regulatory (Ex‑Ante) requirements.
  • Deliver high-quality monthly management information, forecasts and budgeting outputs for Executive and Board-level stakeholders.
  • Support the transition to new regulatory frameworks (including DCC2 licence requirements), ensuring readiness and compliance.
  • Strengthen governance, controls and auditability across all FP&A outputs and reporting processes.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to provide clear financial insight, performance narratives and decision support.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong FP&A experience in complex or regulated environments.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in contract roles, delivering high-quality outputs with minimal supervision.
  • Experience of forecasting, budgeting and performance reporting, ideally within regulatory or framework-driven environments (e.g., Ex‑Ante).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging and influencing senior leadership and Board-level audiences.
  • Advanced analytical, communication and technical skills (including Excel, PowerPoint and reporting tools such as Power BI).
