Procurement Manager - IT / Hybrid

Location: Manchester or London

Join DCCs Commercial team and play a key role in delivering procurement and sourcing strategies that support Britains smart energy network. As a Procurement Manager, you will lead sourcing activities across a diverse range of projects and categories, working closely with senior stakeholders to secure value for money, drive commercial excellence and support critical national infrastructure programmes.

How you will contribute to transforming the smart energy network and shaping the future.

• Lead and deliver sourcing activity across assigned procurement projects and categories using strategic sourcing and negotiation techniques.
• Partner with Directors and senior stakeholders to develop and implement procurement strategies for projects valued up to £100m+.
• Provide expert procurement advice on a range of sourcing models, from catalogue solutions and auctions to complex multi-year transformational procurements.
• Support the creation and implementation of supplier contracts, ensuring commercial and contractual requirements are met.
• Contribute to procurement activity that supports the future of energy consumption and the continued success of the Smart Meter programme.

What you need to bring:

• Significant sourcing and procurement experience with a demonstrable track record of delivering value and savings.
• Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
• Experience conducting market analysis, spend analysis and supplier evaluations.
• Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and experience working within a regulated environment.
