An exciting opportunity to join Smart DCC as a Senior Risk & Compliance Manager, playing a key role in embedding a consistent, practical approach to risk across a complex, regulated environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong operational or programme background who enjoys bringing structure, driving accountability, and influencing across a wide stakeholder network.
Responsibilities
- Embedding risk & compliance frameworks across Design, Build, Run functions, ensuring consistency and practical application.
- Coordinate, track, and improve risk management practices, ensuring risks are clearly articulated, managed, and escalated appropriately.
- Build strong relationships across the business, acting as a facilitator and enabler of risk management, rather than a risk owner.
- Improve data quality, reporting, and alignment across risk tools, frameworks, and governance processes.
- Support the transition between programme delivery and BAU, ensuring risk management is embedded end-to-end.
Qualifications
- Strong background in operations, programme, or project environments with exposure to risk and compliance.
- Experience working in complex or regulated environments, with an understanding of governance and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to engage, influence, and collaborate with stakeholders across a wide network.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive outcomes and embed change.
- Analytical and strategic thinker, able to connect the dots, identify risks, and prioritise effectively.
