Join Smart DCC at a pivotal moment as we prepare for one of the most significant transformations in our history—the procurement and establishment of the future Successor Licensee. This role is central to ensuring a clean and compliant separation from our parent organisation and laying the commercial foundations for the next era of DCC. You’ll operate at the heart of a highly regulated, multi‑stakeholder environment, helping shape the future of Britain’s smart energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Lead all procurement activity required for the Licence Renewal Programme, ensuring alignment with key separation milestones and regulatory obligations.
- Develop and manage procurement plans, including RFPs, requirements definition, and evaluation processes.
- Identify, track, and mitigate procurement risks, ensuring timely management of issues.
- Maintain programme‑wide governance, documentation, and reporting, engaging cross‑functional teams throughout.
- Support change and communication workstreams to ensure impacted teams understand procurement decisions.
Skills and qualifications
- Proven experience delivering procurement activity within large‑scale transformation, organisational separation, or M&A carve‑out programmes.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, commercial negotiation, and supplier lifecycle management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, particularly in regulated or politically sensitive environments.
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment with cross‑functional teams.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem‑solving capabilities.
