The Opportunity
We are a high‑growth, global Fintech group of companies with a strong financial position and ambitious plans to 3–4x the size of the business over the coming years. As we scale internationally and continue to professionalise our operating model, we are creating a new Strategic Initiatives role to work closely with our Group COO and senior leadership team. This is a high‑impact, high‑exposure position designed for a bright, well‑educated individual with a Business Analyst or Consulting background who is ready to take the next step in their career. The role will sit at the intersection of Operations, Product, Finance, Risk & Compliance, and will play a key role in driving execution of strategic priorities across the Group. A core focus of the role will be supporting our EU MiFID and EMI licensing processes, alongside broader operational, regulatory and commercial initiatives linked to our international expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Execution & COO Support
- Act as a trusted right‑hand to the Group COO on priority strategic initiatives across the Group.
- Translate high‑level strategy into structured plans, clear milestones, and measurable outcomes.
- Drive cross‑functional initiatives that cut across Operations, Product, Finance, Risk, Compliance and Technology.
- Prepare board‑level materials, investment cases, business plans and executive updates.
- Track execution, surface risks and dependencies, and ensure initiatives stay on course.
- Regulatory & Licensing Support (EU Focus)
- Support the delivery of EU MiFID and EMI licensing programmes, working closely with internal teams and external advisors.
- Coordinate inputs across Compliance, Legal, Operations, Finance and Technology.
- Assist with regulatory documentation, operating model design, and readiness assessments.
- Help embed regulatory requirements into scalable, efficient operational processes.
- Business Analysis & Operating Model Design
- Conduct deep‑dive analysis into business performance, processes, cost structures and growth opportunities.
- Design and optimise operating models to support rapid international scaling.
- Identify inefficiencies, risks and improvement opportunities across the Group.
- Build clear financial and operational models to support decision‑making.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Act as a connective tissue between teams, ensuring alignment between strategy and execution.
- Support product and operational launches in new markets.
- Work closely with Finance on forecasting, budgeting and performance tracking.
- Partner with Operations and Product to ensure scalable, compliant and customer‑centric solutions.
Candidate Profile
- 1–3+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst, Strategy, Consulting, Corporate Development or Operations role.
- Experience in Fintech, Financial Services, Payments or a regulated environment is highly desirable.
- Exposure to regulatory programmes (MiFID, EMI, PSD2, or similar) is a strong advantage but not essential.
- Experience working in fast‑growth, scaling businesses or top‑tier consulting environments.
Education
- Strong academic background (Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s, MBA or equivalent a plus).
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
