Smart Communications are looking for a driven and commercially minded German speaker Demand Generation Manager to join the team and own pipeline creation across our emerging markets – including the Nordics, Benelux, and DACH regions. This is a highly hands‑on role for someone who thrives equally in strategy and execution, building and running multi‑channel campaigns that generate qualified pipeline for our sales teams across these territories. You will report directly to the Director of Demand Generation for EMEA and work closely with regional field sales teams, Business Development Representatives (BDRs), and global marketing colleagues to design, execute, and optimise programmes that accelerate revenue across distinct and fast‑growing markets. This role is UK‑based, with occasional travel to the Nordics, Benelux, DACH, and other regions as required. Experience marketing Enterprise SaaS to complex buying committees is essential. German language capability is required given the strategic importance of the DACH market within this remit. You will have access to a best‑in‑class MarTech stack - the tools are there to drive results, and we’re looking for someone who knows how to get the most out of them.
The responsibilities of the role include:
- Build and execute integrated demand generation programmes, across digital advertising, email, content syndication, events, webinars, and ABM.
- Own end‑to‑end campaign delivery, from brief and audience segmentation through to landing pages, follow‑up sequences, and BDR hand‑off.
- Own events process and planning – from pre‑event campaigns, during event activations and presence, to post event tactics that create opportunities, and make our brand resonate.
- Collaborate with the global content and digital teams to localise and adapt programmes for each market.
- Manage region‑specific event and field marketing activities, including third‑party sponsorships, roundtables, and owned executive dinners.
- Work closely with global campaign and web teams to build and execute a language translation model that serves the needs of emerging markets while navigating budget and time constraints.
- Take a data‑first approach to everything: define success metrics upfront, analyse dashboards, track campaign attribution, and report on pipeline influence and contribution at every stage.
- Be accountable for the marketing‑sourced sales accepted leads and pipeline targets, providing regular forecasts and analysis to the Director of Demand Generation, EMEA and sales stakeholders.
- Work in CRM (Salesforce) and marketing automation (Marketo) to build campaigns, ensure accurate lead flow, scoring, routing, and reporting.
- Continuously test and iterate on messaging and channels, to improve conversion rates and cost‑per‑pipeline metrics.
- Represent market needs and insights into global marketing planning cycles.
- Run account‑based marketing programmes targeting priority accounts, in partnership with Account Directors and BDRs.
- Maintain tight alignment with your sales teams – attend pipeline reviews, provide marketing visibility into the funnel, and act as a credible business partner to sales leadership.
- Manage relationships with region‑specific vendors, and media partners to deliver campaigns on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with marketing colleagues to share learnings, avoid duplication, and scale what works.
What we’re looking for:
- Proficient German language skills - spoken and written.
- 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, with a strong track record in demand generation, field marketing, or growth marketing roles.
- Proven expertise marketing Enterprise SaaS or complex software solutions to complex buying groups.
- Hands‑on experience planning and executing multi‑channel integrated campaigns including paid digital, email, events, webinars, and content syndication.
- Solid analytical skills: comfortable working with CRM and marketing automation to track pipeline contribution and ROI.
- Proficiency in Salesforce (or equivalent CRM) and a marketing automation platform such as Marketo.
- Proficiency with ABM tactics and planning, and the use of intent data providers (PathFactory & 6sense).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to run multiple programmes simultaneously and deliver to deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to craft compelling messaging for senior Enterprise audiences.
- Direct experience marketing to highly regulated industries, such as Financial Services and Insurance, including understanding of buying dynamics, regulatory context, and key business challenges in these verticals in relation to CCM.
- Experience working in a high‑growth or scaling SaaS business where agility and commercial acumen are essential.
- Exposure to EMEA‑wide or international marketing programmes.
