Are you a passionate Salesforce Architect eager to design innovative, data-integrated solutions at the heart of a fast-growing SaaS company? Do you want to be part of a tech-forward, collaborative team shaping enterprise-grade customer communication solutions? If so, Smart Communications wants to hear from you!

Smart Communications is looking for an experienced Salesforce Architect to drive the evolution of our internal Salesforce ecosystem. In this role, you’ll architect secure, scalable solutions that support business functions across Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Success. You’ll lead platform optimization and integration efforts, ensuring Salesforce remains a high-performing foundation for our operations. If you’re excited by technical problem-solving, enterprise architecture, and enhancing Salesforce performance across teams, we’d love to connect.

We’re looking for a Salesforce Architect to join our Data Operations team and help lead the design, strategy, and evolution of our Salesforce ecosystem. Reporting to the Data Operations Manager, you’ll work closely with our Salesforce Admin team and cross-functional stakeholders to understand business challenges and deliver scalable, future-proof solutions. This is a high-impact role within a global SaaS organization, blending big-picture architecture with hands-on development. You’ll shape the platform’s technical direction, contribute to our enterprise data strategy, and play a key role in enabling smarter, more efficient business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver scalable Salesforce solutions: Architect secure, growth-ready systems aligned with business goals. Lead development using Apex, LWC, and Flows, and drive smart integrations and declarative automation in line with best practices.
  • Stakeholder communication: Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, translating business needs into actionable technical solutions — and vice versa.
  • Influence roadmap: Provide expert input on Salesforce scalability, org health, and feature adoption, partnering with the Data Operations team to align with the broader enterprise data strategy.
  • Governance & best practices: Help shape and enforce standards for development, security, data quality, configuration, performance, and scalability.
  • Project delivery: Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements, and work closely with the Admin team to scope and deliver high-impact Salesforce projects and enhancements.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner across teams to ensure Salesforce solutions meet evolving business needs and are seamlessly integrated into broader processes.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong background in stakeholder engagement and translating business needs into technical specifications for complex projects.
  • Skilled in prioritizing cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments, balancing technical requirements with business objectives.
  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience, including experience as a Salesforce Architect or technical lead.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I & II (Salesforce Architect certifications are a plus).
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, including data models, security, governance, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with integrations, including APIs and third-party system integrations.
  • Background in SaaS, Martech, or CCM industries (preferred).

We look for the following SMART values in everyone we hire at Smart Communications:

  • Speak Openly - We are positive, creative, helpful, kind and we have fun. We listen and provide constructive feedback. Through meaningful conversations we encourage each other to be the best that we can be. We’re not complainers we’re problem solvers.
  • Make a Difference - We focus on the things that matter and prioritize the things that have the greatest impact. We celebrate success and hold ourselves accountable for our choices.
  • Agile & Flexible - We are focused on evolving, improving and growing. We think differently and challenge the status quo with open minds.
  • Results-Focused - We get stuff done by being efficient, working at pace and paying attention to detail.
  • Teamwork - We are stronger and better together. We collaborate, trust and support each other to deliver results for our company and our customers.

What’s the deal?

We will provide you with the tools, equipment and support to give you the best possible chance of success and over-achieving your goals. Salary will depend on your experience and will be highly competitive. In addition to a friendly and fun working environment, we provide a range of other benefits, including extensive health insurance, income protection, life assurance, subsidised gym membership, leisure travel insurance, pension contribution and 25 days’ holiday allowance plus an additional day off for your birthday!

Located in Covent Garden, our offices are comfortable, flexible, and are always stocked with free beverages and fresh fruit. This role is remote with occasional visits to the office as required.
