We are seeking an experienced Systems Accountant to take ownership of the administration, maintenance, and optimization of our core financial systems, NetSuite and OneStream. This critical role will bridge the gap between the Finance and IT departments, ensuring system efficiency, data integrity, and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have handsâon experience with both platforms and a strong understanding of core financial processes to provide expert user support and drive continuous improvements.
Responsibilities
- System Administration & Maintenance: Manage the dayâtoâday operations, configuration, and security of both NetSuite and OneStream platforms, including user roles, permissions, and access controls.
- User Support & Training: Act as the primary support contact for all systemârelated queries, troubleshooting issues and coordinating fixes effectively.
- System Enhancement & Optimisation: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, implementing enhancements to meet evolving business needs.
- MonthâEnd & Reporting Cycle Support: Provide dedicated system support during critical financial cycles, such as monthâend close, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring system reliability and data accuracy.
- Data Integrity & Compliance: Ensure the integrity and consistency of data across all systems, adhering to internal controls, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Integration Management: Support existing and new integrations between NetSuite, OneStream, and other thirdâparty solutions (e.g., payroll, CRM, inventory systems).
- Documentation & Training: Create and maintain comprehensive process manuals and documentation. Conduct training sessions for new and existing users to promote effective system adoption.
- Project Support: Participate in system upgrades, testing (UAT), and new module implementations as required, collaborating with external partners or consultants when necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven, handsâon experience with NetSuite and OneStream, administration and configuration are essential.
- Accounting Knowledge: A strong understanding of core financial processes, consolidation, and budgeting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in system customization tools (e.g., NetSuite saved searches, workflows, SuiteScript exposure is a plus; OneStream business rules and report building).
- ProblemâSolving: Exceptional analytical and problemâsolving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical issues to nonâtechnical finance users and manage stakeholders across various departments.
Qualifications (Desirable): A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems is preferred.
