We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to establish and grow our enterprise BI capability within the Data Operations function of a growing SaaS business. This hands‑on role focuses on delivering dashboards and analytical solutions, defining BI standards and governance, and partnering with stakeholders across the business to drive data‑informed decision‑making. As the company’s central BI specialist, you will build and own critical dashboards for Senior Leadership, Executives, and the Board, while establishing governance, best practices and an operating model that enable trusted self‑service analytics across the organisation. You will operate a hub‑and‑spoke BI model, supporting teams to create their own reporting solutions while ensuring alignment with the corporate data strategy. Working alongside Data Engineers, subject‑matter experts and business stakeholders, you will deliver scalable, automated analytics solutions that support key business decisions. You will help drive the next phase of our data journey, innovating how the business leverages data and unlocking the full value of the Databricks Lakehouse Platform and its modern BI, AI and analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain high‑impact BI dashboards and analytics solutions in Databricks AI/BI, translating business requirements into actionable insights.
  • Partner with stakeholders across various business functions to gather requirements, align KPI definitions and deliver reporting solutions that drive decision‑making.
  • Work closely with Data Engineering to align BI solutions with the Databricks Lakehouse architecture, data models and governance standards.
  • Leverage Databricks AI/BI capabilities to enhance insight discovery, analytics and self‑service reporting (e.g., Genie Spaces).
  • Own and evolve BI governance, standards, best practices and documentation in alignment with the corporate data strategy.
  • Establish and operate a BI Centre of Excellence and hub‑and‑spoke delivery model, enabling teams to create reporting solutions under shared standards, governance and best practices.
  • Manage BI delivery through Jira, including backlog management, prioritisation, stakeholder communication and delivery planning.

Qualifications – Must Have

  • 5+ years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics or a related field, with hands‑on ownership of dashboard development and stakeholder‑facing delivery.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience developing dashboards and analytics solutions in Databricks AI/BI; Python experience preferred.
  • Experience designing intuitive, user‑centric dashboards that support business processes and decision‑making.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, semantic layers, KPI design and metric definition for reporting and analytics.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to elicit business requirements and translate them into actionable reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Experience working with Databricks AI/BI or other modern enterprise BI platforms.
  • Experience managing work using Jira or similar delivery management tools.
  • Experience establishing BI governance, standards or Centres of Excellence.

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to AI‑enabled analytics or advanced BI capabilities.
  • Experience working with Sales, Finance, Customer Success or SaaS operational data.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, NetSuite, usage and AWS cost data.
  • Experience supporting Executive Leadership or Board‑level reporting.
  • Experience operating within a hub‑and‑spoke or self‑service BI environment.
  • Experience working with executive stakeholders and translating strategic business questions into reporting solutions.

Company Values – SMART

  • Speak Openly – We are positive, creative, helpful, kind and we have fun. We listen and provide constructive feedback. Through meaningful conversations we encourage each other to be the best that we can be. We’re not complainers – we’re problem solvers.
  • Make a Difference – We focus on the things that matter and prioritise the things that have the greatest impact. We celebrate success and hold ourselves accountable for our choices. We don’t sit on the sidelines.
  • Agile & Flexible – We are focused on evolving, improving and growing. We think differently and challenge the status quo with open minds. We ask ‘why?’ so that we can help remove complexity. We don’t allow hurdles to get in our way.
  • Results‑Focused – We get stuff done by being efficient, working at pace and paying attention to detail. We focus on finding solutions and fixing things. We don’t believe in being busy for the sake of being busy – we focus on productivity.
  • Teamwork – We are stronger and better together. We collaborate, trust and support each other to deliver results for our company and our customers. We don’t want anyone to feel disengaged – we’re in this together!

Benefits

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
  • Annual bonus tied to company performance.
  • Extensive health insurance, income protection, life assurance and subsidised gym membership.
  • Leisure travel insurance, pension contribution, Cycle2Work and childcare vouchers.
  • 25 days’ holiday allowance plus an additional day off for your birthday.
