THE ROLE
Reporting to the General Counsel, we are looking for a driven and passionate lawyer to join our team who is used to dealing with commercial contracts, procurement contracts and commercial law.
Responsibilities:
- Advising and negotiating a range of commercial contracts including Non-Disclosure Agreements, supplier contracts (IT and non-IT), data sharing agreements, platform agreements and pension scheme terms and conditions.
- Maintenance of our contract repository.
- Provide high quality, business focused legal support directly to a growing and developing global business through a strong understanding of both legal requirements and commercial implications.
- Ability to balance risk mitigation and commerciality.
- Liaise with all stakeholders including customers and suppliers with the ability to influence such stakeholders.
- Advise the business on legal interpretations, internal standards and practices, new business initiatives and other commercial and regulatory matters.
- Build relationships with stakeholders and be a trusted legal adviser.
- Provide legal training to the business and be a knowledge-hub of best practices.
- Support the implementation of improved processes including the creation and implementation of contract templates and playbooks.
- Support the team’s legal operations and work-flow management.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Confident and pragmatic approach to problem solving and managing legal risk.
- Be highly motivated to deliver high quality work in a fast-paced environment and for a growth business.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and to deliver as an individual contributor within the legal team.
- Experience and/or knowledge of master trust pension scheme arrangements would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Full training will be provided for a candidate who is willing to learn and up-skill in this area.
