This is an FTTP Installation Engineer position, and you will be provided full training working for MGroup Telecoms. The role comes with a van, tools, and fuel card. You’ll receive the van on the first day of training, so you would need to get to the training centre without driving.

Training centres are (Risby / Bristol / Chorley / Blantyre) – these are dictated by the work programme. Payment in training is £109.89 per day (up to 45 mins travel) or if you are staying in a hotel. Travel over 45 mins from the training centre but no hotel is £30 extra. Payments for buddying is £109.89 with no additional uplift.

Once up to speed, you should be doing 4 jobs per day on average, up to 6-7 jobs at peak.

You are PAYE employed via an umbrella payroll company; with this, you will cover employment costs. There is a £22 per week payroll fee, and you cover the cost of PAYE tax, Employees NI, and Employers NI. You claim expenses to offset to lower your tax. Holiday pay is stored back from your pay. Pension is auto-enrolled and paid by yourself after 12 weeks of employment (if you want to opt out you can).

We hold a retention pot of up to £500 currently, which is to protect M-Group/Avonline and their assets. We start to take this retention from when you start doing your installs, and it’s taken each week (the amount varies based on jobs completed). Once you hit £500, no more retention is taken; any speeding or parking fines, or damage to customer property, van or tools missing would then be taken out of this retention pot, and the remaining amount would be returned to you 28 days after leaving and handing the van and tools back.

This is working outside in all weather conditions. This is physical work, and some equipment/materials are heavy. The Samsara system is a Live CCTV and location finder for health and safety to yourself and the Company.

Do you have a Smart Awards card? If so, you will need to change employer & sponsor; you will receive an email on what to change, so we can access it. The interview with the client should last 20-30 minutes on health and safety and your knowledge and experience in this type of work.
