Smart City Recruiters are supporting a well‐established, forward‐thinking main contractor with a strong reputation across construction, civil engineering, education, defence, commercial, and public‐sector frameworks. Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of opportunities, they are seeking a talented Bid Writer to join their pre‐construction and work‐winning team. This role suits someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, can translate technical information into compelling narrative, and understands what it takes to win work in a competitive, quality‐driven sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop high‐quality written content for PQQs, SQs, ITTs, framework submissions, and major project bids.
  • Work closely with Pre‐Construction, Estimating, Planning, Design, and Delivery teams to gather accurate, relevant information.
  • Produce clear, concise, and persuasive responses aligned to client requirements, scoring matrices, and evaluation criteria.
  • Maintain and update a library of case studies, CVs, project sheets, policies, and standard responses.
  • Support bid strategy development, storyboarding sessions, and win‐theme creation.
  • Ensure all submissions reflect the company's values, capabilities, and commitment to quality, safety, sustainability.
