Senior Product Manager - Contractor in London

Smart Bricks is building the intelligence layer for real estate. Every year, trillions of dollars are invested across residential, commercial and alternative real estate using fragmented systems, disconnected data and manual workflows. We're building an AI-native platform that enables investors, developers, lenders, governments and Fortune 500 companies to source opportunities, underwrite investments, perform due diligence and manage portfolios using AI.

Alongside our software platform, we're building an Applied AI Lab that works directly with some of the world's largest real estate organisations to redesign complex institutional workflows using AI. Every deployment strengthens the platform. We've raised over $5 million, led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), and are backed by some of the world's leading technology ecosystems, including Techstars, Google, NVIDIA and Microsoft through their AI and startup programmes.

Our Founder is a Forbes 30 Under 30 entrepreneur and Andreessen Horowitz Scout, helping identify and back the next generation of AI founders globally. We're now building our founding leadership team in London at Balderton Capital, one of Europe's leading venture capital firms, putting us alongside some of Europe's most ambitious founders, investors and technology companies.

We're looking for an exceptional Head of Product to define what Smart Bricks becomes and build the product organisation behind it. This isn't a traditional Head of Product role. As Head of Product, you'll own the product vision, strategy and quality of Smart Bricks' institutional platform. Your job is to ensure Smart Bricks becomes one coherent AI-native platform, not a collection of disconnected features.

You'll help invent them. Working closely with the Head of Applied AI, you'll identify patterns across enterprise deployments and continuously ask: Over time, each deployment should make the product stronger and the next deployment faster. You'll spend real time with investment teams, developers, lenders, asset managers and institutional investors understanding how they actually work. We expect our Head of Product to become one of the people in the company who understands our customers best.

At Smart Bricks, product thinking happens through building. You'll experiment with new interactions, build working concepts, put them in front of customers and learn quickly. You'll define how Product operates, how we make decisions and what exceptional product quality means at Smart Bricks. Your goal is to create a product organisation capable of building category-defining AI products for decades.

Success won't be measured by the number of features shipped.

Requirements:

• 7–12 years building enterprise software, AI products, workflow platforms or similarly complex products
• Shipped multiple products from zero to one that real users or enterprise customers rely on
• Strong technical fluency across AI-native systems and modern software architecture
• Strong design instincts and an unusually high bar for product quality
• Experience prototyping and testing ideas rapidly rather than relying solely on specifications and roadmaps

You're equally comfortable sitting with an investment team, defining product strategy with the Founder, sketching a workflow, building a prototype, challenging an engineer and making a difficult prioritisation decision.
