Build the Future of AI for Real Estate

Location: London (preferred), Dubai or San Francisco

Reports to: Founder & CEO

About Smart Bricks

Smart Bricks is building the future of AI for real estate. Every year, trillions of dollars are invested across residential, commercial and alternative real estate using fragmented systems, disconnected data and manual workflows. We're building an AI-native platform that helps investors, developers, lenders, governments and Fortune 500 companies source opportunities, underwrite investments, perform due diligence and manage portfolios using AI.

Alongside our software platform, we're building an Applied AI Lab that works directly with some of the world's largest real estate organisations to redesign complex workflows using AI. Every customer engagement generates institutional knowledge. Every deployment strengthens the platform. Every improvement compounds across every future customer.

We've raised over $5 million, led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), and are backed by some of the world's leading technology ecosystems, including Techstars, Google, NVIDIA and Microsoft through their AI and startup programmes.

Our Founder is a Forbes 30 Under 30 entrepreneur and an Andreessen Horowitz Scout, helping identify and back the next generation of AI founders globally.

We're building our founding leadership team across London, Dubai and San Francisco. Our London team is based at Balderton Capital, one of Europe's leading venture capital firms, giving us the opportunity to work alongside some of Europe's most ambitious founders, investors and technology companies.

This is a chance to join at the earliest stage of building what we believe will be one of the world's leading Applied AI companies for real estate.

Why exceptional people join us:

  • Raised $5M+, led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z)
  • Backed by Google, NVIDIA, Microsoft and Techstars
  • London office based at Balderton Capital
  • Building across London, Dubai and San Francisco
  • Founder recognised as Forbes 30 Under 30 and an Andreessen Horowitz Scout
  • Building Applied AI with leading institutional real estate organisations

Why this role?

This isn't a traditional Product Manager role. You won't manage Jira boards or spend your time writing PRDs. You're joining to invent entirely new ways for the global real estate industry to work with AI. You'll work directly with customers, engineers and our Applied AI Lab to redesign how investors, developers, lenders and governments make decisions. Every deployment raises one question, "what should become product?", and your job is deciding which customer learnings become reusable platform capabilities. You'll own product strategy, design AI-native workflows, prototype new ideas, work directly with enterprise customers and build the Product organisation from the ground up. The question you'll keep asking: if AI existed first, how would this workflow work, rather than how do we improve the existing software.

What you'll own:

  • Product strategy. Partner directly with the Founder to define the long-term vision for the institutional platform: product vision, platform strategy and architecture, roadmap prioritisation, customer value and product quality. Make sure Smart Bricks becomes one coherent AI-native operating system, not a collection of disconnected features.
  • AI-native products. Design products that transform how real estate professionals work, thinking beyond dashboards and forms to where humans and AI collaborate naturally:
    • Investment sourcing agents and conversational underwriting
    • Due diligence copilots and investment committee workspaces
    • Portfolio intelligence and asset management agents
    • Market intelligence, capital allocation assistants and multi-agent investment workflows
  • Turn customer learning into product. The Applied AI Lab exists to learn, Product exists to scale those learnings. Working with the Head of Applied AI, identify the patterns across enterprise deployments by asking, for every engagement:
    • What repeated?
    • What surprised us?
    • What created the most value?
    • What should become product, and what should stay bespoke?
  • Then build the framework that turns that customer work into scalable platform capabilities.
  • Product discovery. Spend real time with investors, developers, lenders and asset managers to understand how decisions actually get made. Shadow investment teams, map real workflows and prototype new ways of working. The best ideas come from watching the industry work, not from brainstorming sessions.
  • Partner deeply with Engineering. Product and Engineering operate as one system. Work daily with Engineering to make hard trade-offs, simplify complex technical problems and keep the platform coherent as it scales. The best ideas should win, not the loudest opinions.
  • Prototype constantly. Product thinking happens through building. Rapidly prototype workflows, test AI interactions and validate with customers before committing months of engineering. Hands-on experience with AI-native tools like Figma, Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable and v0 is a real advantage.
  • Build the Product function. As one of our earliest leaders, define how Product operates and, over time, recruit and lead Product Managers, Product Designers, User Researchers, AI Experience Designers and Product Operations, setting the culture and quality bar for every product we build over the coming decade.

What Success Looks Like:

Within your first 12 months you'll have:

  • Defined the long-term product vision for our institutional platform.
  • Designed the core AI workflows powering the next generation of institutional real estate investing.
  • Established a repeatable process for converting enterprise customer deployments into scalable platform capabilities.
  • Launched multiple AI-native products into production.
  • Built the foundations of a world-class Product organisation.
  • Become the voice of the customer across the executive team.

Success won't be measured by the number of features shipped. It'll be measured by how much intelligence every product release adds to the platform.

Who we're looking for:

We're looking for builders with exceptional product judgement who instinctively simplify complex systems. You combine strategic thinking with an obsession for execution, and care deeply about design without ever losing sight of the customer's problem.

Specifically, you'll likely have:

  • 7 to 12 years building enterprise software, AI products or workflow platforms, repeatedly taking products from ambiguous idea to real customer adoption.
  • Led product through a period of rapid growth at a fast-scaling startup or scaleup, ideally as a founding or senior PM owning a core surface end to end.
  • Shipped at least 2 to 3 products from zero to one that real users or enterprise customers rely on.
  • Strong technical fluency: you can hold your own with engineers on model behaviour, agentic systems, RAG, evaluation and build-vs-buy trade-offs, not just at a buzzword level.
  • Hands-on with AI-native product and prototyping tools (Figma, Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable, v0).
  • Worked directly with enterprise customers and turned messy real-world workflows into clean product.
  • A degree from a strong institution, ideally technical, or a track record of shipped products strong enough that it makes the question irrelevant.
  • You're equally comfortable speaking with enterprise customers, defining product strategy, designing complex workflows, building interactive prototypes, working alongside engineers and making difficult prioritisation calls.
  • You don't need experience in real estate, but you should be excited about applying AI to one of the world's largest and least digitised industries.

Compensation & Benefits:

We believe exceptional people should share in the value they create. You'll receive a highly competitive salary and a meaningful equity package, private healthcare, flexible working, an annual learning and conference budget, access to the latest AI models and developer tooling, and a seat in our London office at Balderton Capital, alongside one of Europe's leading VC ecosystems.

How We Work:

We hold ourselves to exceptionally high standards. We think from first principles, move quickly without compromising quality, care deeply about craft, take ownership beyond our job description, give direct and thoughtful feedback, stay curious and default to action. We put customers before internal process, and we optimise for learning, not consensus.

Why Join:

We move insanely fast, with real rigour and standards, to build AI-native products that redefine how real assets are sourced, underwritten, analysed and managed. You'll work directly with the Founder, customers and the founding leadership team to redesign the workflows used by investors, developers, lenders and governments, and turn those learnings into products that scale globally. The products you build won't just improve productivity, they'll change how one of the world's largest industries adopts AI over the next decade.

If you're the type to get out of bed to build AI-native products from first principles, in this generation and the ones after, Smart Bricks is the place for you. We'd love to talk.
