About Smart Bricks
Smart Bricks is a frontier AI lab building autonomous reasoning systems that allow capital to discover, evaluate, and transact real estate assets end-to-end. We are a team working on genuinely hard problems at the intersection of applied AI and one of the world's largest industries. Everything we build is live in production, consequential, and compounding in capability with every data point the system generates.
About The Role
As Head of Institutional Product at Smart Bricks, you will lead the product that institutional capital uses to discover, evaluate, and transact at scale. You will own the institutional product end-to-end, working at the boundary between our AI/engineering teams and the institutions that depend on our systems. You will set the direction, prioritise what matters, and turn frontier capability into products that institutions trust with consequential decisions.
What You Will Work On
- Leading the institutional product end-to-end - owning the strategy, roadmap, and prioritisation for how institutional capital discovers, evaluates, and transacts on our platform
- Evolving the institutional workflow - underwriting, evaluation, and transaction - validated against real deployment outcomes
- Translating our production AI capability - valuation, forecasting, scoring, agentic reasoning - into institutional-grade product surfaces that are explainable and trusted
- Partnering directly with institutional users to understand their workflows, surface needs, and feed them into the roadmap
- Working closely with engineering and research to shape what gets built and ensure institutional requirements are reflected in the core system
- Defining and tracking the metrics that prove institutional value - adoption, capital deployed, retention, and workflow impact
We Expect You To
- Have strong product leadership experience, ideally leading products for institutional, financial, or enterprise users in a high-trust, high-consequence setting
- Deeply understand institutional capital workflows - how funds, family offices, or asset managers evaluate and transact at scale
- Be comfortable owning a product surface that depends on AI/ML systems, and able to reason about model outputs, explainability, and limitations
- Translate complex technical capability into clear product strategy and user value
- Take full ownership of outcomes - you set the direction, make the calls, and are accountable for adoption and impact
- Communicate clearly across engineering, research, and external institutions - you work at the boundary between all three
- Move fast in a small, high-trust team without heavy process
Nice to Have
- Background in real estate, capital markets, private markets, or another large, data-intensive asset class
- Experience scaling products in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments
- Familiarity with AI/ML-driven products and the realities of building on top of live models
- Prior experience as an early product hire, operator, or leader in a high-growth environment
Why Smart Bricks
- Solve Hard Problems: Lead the institutional product for AI systems that are live in production – agentic orchestration, real-time inference, and retrieval systems operating at scale on proprietary data that doesn't exist anywhere else.
- Build What's Next: The product you lead here will shape how institutional capital interacts with one of the world's largest asset classes for decades.
- Ownership and Impact: Small team, no bureaucracy, high trust. Your decisions ship, your judgement matters, and your fingerprints are on everything institutional capital touches.
- Learn from the Best: Collaborate with world-class engineers, researchers, and operators who left careers at leading AI labs and financial institutions to build something genuinely new.
