We are working with a leading highways and public realm contractor seeking a Senior Estimator to join its growing pre-construction team. This is a pivotal role supporting the business in securing new work, driving accuracy in pricing, and contributing directly to turnover and profitability targets.

The Role

As Senior Estimator, you will take ownership of tender preparation, pricing strategy and bid submissions for capital projects and maintenance contracts. You will work closely with operational, commercial and procurement teams to ensure tenders are competitive, compliant and commercially robust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer NEC3 and NEC4 contracts across large scale civils work packages.
  • Manage commercial performance on packages valued 100m+.
  • Support the Commercial Lead and provide clear commercial guidance to project teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong commercial, financial, and reporting processes.
  • Lead risk and opportunity management to protect and maximise commercial entitlement.
  • Support contract reviews and ensure accurate monthly commercial reporting.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evidence KPI performance across assigned packages.
  • Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, and contract budgets.
