We at Smart4EPC are supporting a leading infrastructure and engineering consultancy in their search for a Project Manager to support the commercial and contractual delivery of projects across the UK. This role offers excellent exposure to NEC-led programmes and structured development for professionals looking to progress their careers.

The Role

You will support the preparation, delivery, and commercial management of projects delivered under the NEC3/4 suite of contracts. Working alongside QS teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders, you will help ensure projects are delivered compliantly, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Contract & Commercial Delivery

• Administer NEC3/4 contracts (Options A, C & E) from the client side
• Support cost planning, forecasting, and budget control
• Assist with monthly valuations, payment certificates, and contractual correspondence

Project Preparation

• Support scope definition, feasibility studies, and tender preparation
• Assist with tender evaluation and early contractor engagement
• Contribute to risk identification and mitigation strategies

Execution & Oversight

• Monitor project progress, expenditure, and cash flow
• Support change control, compensation events, and variations
• Assist with dispute resolution, final accounts, and contract compliance

Business Support

• Contribute to reporting, governance reviews, and project data management
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and best practice

Requirements

• Degree qualified in a numerate discipline
• Working towards chartered membership (APM or equivalent)
• Strong NEC3/4 experience (Options A, C & E essential)
• Valid CSCS card (Water Hygiene desirable)
