We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimating Manager to lead some major projects for our client and oversee part of their estimating team function and support continued growth across commercial fit out, data centre and laboratory projects. This is a key position within a respected, privately owned M&E contractor with a long-standing reputation for quality delivery in London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the electrical estimating team, ensuring accurate, competitive tenders.
  • Prepare detailed cost plans, estimates and tender submissions across Cat A/Cat B fit out, mission‑critical and technical environments.
  • Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation to identify scope, risks and opportunities.
  • Liaise with supply chain partners for quotations, pricing validation and value‑engineering options.
  • Work closely with pre‑construction, design and project delivery teams to ensure seamless handover.
  • Attend tender meetings, client presentations and support bid strategy development.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date market knowledge on labour, materials, and specialist systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement in estimating processes, accuracy and turnaround times.

Experience & Skills

  • Proven electrical estimating experience within M&E contracting (fit‑out, data centres or labs essential).
  • Strong understanding of electrical building services, procurement and tender methodology.
  • Highly numerate with excellent analytical and commercial skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with clients, consultants and suppliers.
  • Leadership experience or readiness to step into a managerial role.
