A leading Tier 1 contractor is looking for an experienced General Foreman to join a major infrastructure project with a significant highways package. This is a hands-on supervisory role on a high-profile scheme at the forefront of the UK's critical infrastructure programme.
The Role
- Supervising and coordinating labour, plant and subcontractors on site
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality
- Toolbox talks, inductions and day-to-day Health & Safety management
- Liaising with the Site Engineer and Section Engineer on setting out and quality
- Monitoring progress against programme and flagging issues early
- Maintaining site records, daily diaries and allocation sheets
What We're Looking For
- Proven General Foreman experience on highways or civil infrastructure schemes
- Strong people management and organisational skills
- CSCS Black Card (Supervisory level)
- SMSTS certificate (essential)
- First Aid at Work (preferred)
- Experience working within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 environment
- A practical, solutions-focused approach - someone who leads from the front
