We are assisting our client, a Top 10 M&E contractor, on their search for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join on a major data centre project in West London. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved from the early stages of a prestigious development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems
  • Manage busbar systems and associated £15 million electrical package
  • Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Manage project budgets, cost controls, and financial reporting
  • Oversee client interface and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Coordinate with the main contractor, consulting engineers, and other stakeholders
  • Monitor progress against programmes and implement corrective actions where necessary
  • Manage procurement of materials and equipment
  • Conduct quality inspections and ensure work meets specifications and standards
  • Prepare progress reports, variations, and close-out documentation

Requirements

  • Busbar experience is essential
  • M&E experience on data centre or mission-critical project
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale commercial or data centre projects
  • Strong understanding of electrical design, installation standards, and regulations
  • Experience with high-voltage systems and power distribution
  • Excellent commercial acumen including cost management and contract administration
  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Project Management
  • Professional registration or equivalent (preferred)
  • Knowledge of data centre infrastructure and critical systems
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Collaborative approach and team player mentality
