We are seeking an experienced Project Lead to take ownership of a large-scale data centre construction project in Blyth. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing project team and play a key role in the successful delivery of a technically complex, mission-critical facility. Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of the project, ensuring it is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will combine strong leadership skills with commercial awareness and technical expertise, while maintaining effective communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of project delivery from inception through to completion. Manage project budgets, schedules, costs, and resources to ensure successful outcomes. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal project teams. Monitor and manage critical project milestones, identifying and mitigating risks to programme delivery. Review construction proposals, scopes of work, and pricing submissions. Lead client meetings and project coordination meetings. Analyse cost drivers, prepare reports, and provide recommendations to support commercial decision-making. Manage procurement activities, including long-lead equipment and materials. Review and validate cost estimates and commercial submissions from subcontractors. Support engineering and design teams with cost and budget considerations during design changes. Ensure equipment and materials are delivered in line with programme requirements. Coordinate schedule reviews and maintain alignment between project controls and site activities. Review and approve invoices, payment applications, and retention payments. Manage project close-out, handover documentation, warranties, and final deliverables. About You Minimum 10 years' experience in a Project Lead, Project Manager, or similar senior delivery role. Experience managing large-scale construction, data centre or mission-critical projects. Strong leadership, organisational, and stakeholder management skills. Excellent communication and time management abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, along with project management software. Commercially astute, with a thorough understanding of project financial management and cost control. Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver results within demanding schedules.
