We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to support the delivery of a major highways infrastructure project in Banbury. This is an excellent opportunity to join a flagship scheme and play a key role in the successful delivery of earthworks, drainage, and highway works packages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery team in the safe and efficient execution of highways works
  • Oversee site engineering activities including setting out and quality assurance
  • Manage subcontractors and coordinate daily site operations
  • Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, specification, and HSEQ requirements
  • Assist with short-term planning and progress reporting
  • Review RAMS, ITPs, and technical documentation
  • Work closely with Section Engineers and Site Agents to drive delivery across multiple work fronts
  • Maintain accurate site records and ensure compliance with project standards

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Senior Engineer on major highways or infrastructure projects
  • Strong background in earthworks, drainage, and highways construction
  • Competent managing subcontractors and supervising engineering teams on site
  • CSCS card essential
  • SMSTS preferred
  • Experience working within NEC contract environments advantageous
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
